Certification of Public Health Pests Management Systems to MSA 2000:2009


Maltese Standard MSA 2000:2009  on “Biotechnology - Control of Public Health Pests - Operators’ Management System Requirements” is intended to be used by Pest Management service providers and certification bodies for conformity assessment activities to assist clients to make an informed choice of pest management control programmes, and to increase the likelihood of expectations (legal, customer service, etc.) being met and an increased opportunity to achieve set targets safely.


This Maltese standard specifies requirements where an operator needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide a service that; (a) meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, (b) aims at enhancing customer satisfaction, and (c) aims at protecting the safety of humans and non-targeted species from the effects of its service.


SMI Certification Unit offers certification against the Maltese standard MSA 2000:2009 that adoptPestcontrol management systems are based on the requirements of the Standard.
