Regulation (EC) No. 2003/2003 on Fertilisers:
For this purpose, this Regulation harmonises the following rules for the placing on the market of fertilisers:
- The additional labelling of fertilisers, including the compulsory statements and markings (compulsory identification or optional identification);
- Compliance of EC fertilisers with the tolerances established in Annex II;
- Requirements for the inclusion of a fertiliser in Annex I to inorganic primary nutrient fertilisers, solid or fluid, straight or compound, including those containing secondary nutrients and/or micro-nutrients with the minimum nutrient content being established; &
- Control measures.
The Fertilisers (Implementation) Regulations of 2008 (Legal Notice 17 of 2008) implement the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003. Furthermore these regulations establish the languages that are allowed for the labelling of fertilisers.
