The Technical Regulations Division within the MCCAA organised an information session for those who manufacture or import one tonne or more of a chemical substance from outside the European Union (EU). This is one of the obligations under the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation.
The objective of this information session was to inform the attendees about all the necessary documents (dossiers) needed for registration prior the deadline of 31 May 2018. In addition, an insight was given on both REACH and the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulations. An overview on how a safety data sheet should be complied was also presented.
