MEUSAC and the MCCAA will be organising an information session on the ‘CE Marking and RAPEX’.
The affixing of the CE marking to a product means, that the product has been assessed to meet the essential health and safety requirements of the applicable legislation. It also means that the product meets all the legal requirements required for the product to be placed on the European market. The CE marking also supports fair competition by holding all companies accountable to the same rules.
RAPEX is the term referring to Rapid Alert System for dangerous non-food products. The System enables quick exchange of information between the national authorities of 31 European countries and the EC about dangerous non-food products posing a risk to health and safety of consumers.
The information session will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10am, at the LEAP Centre, 72, Melita Street, Valletta.
