In terms of regulation 5(4) of the Control of Concentrations Regulations, 2002 published in Legal Notice 294 of 2002, the Director General of the Office for Competition notifies for general information that a notification of a concentration between salesforce.com, inc. (California, United States) and Slack Technologies, Inc. (California, United States) was filed on Friday, 29 January 2021.

The nature of the concentration is an acquisition of sole control of Slack Technologies, Inc. by salesforce.com, inc.

salesforce.com, inc. is an American cloud-based software company which is a global supplier of customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions that enable companies to manage and improve relationships with customers. It operates its business globally through locally established offices around the world. Slack Technologies, Inc. is an American software company which designs and develops Slack, an enterprise collaboration platform that enables business teams and individuals to work together more effectively, connect all their other software tools and services, while also exchanging and finding information. Both parties offer their products worldwide, including Malta, but none of the parties’ respective groups comprise entities that are registered in Malta.

The Director General of the Office for Competition invites interested third parties to submit their written observations on this notified concentration within seven days following publication of this notice.
