In terms of regulation 5(4) of the Control of Concentrations Regulations, 2002 published in Legal Notice 294 of 2002, the Director General of the Office for Competition notifies for general information that a notification of a concentration between Health Direct Ltd (Birkirkara), and the retail community pharmacy business presently owned by Claire and Larry Joseph Shoemake which include Ideal Pharmacy (Rabat), Central Pharmacy (Rabat) and Nigret Pharmacy (Rabat) was filed on Tuesday, 27 February 2024.

The nature of the concentration is the acquisition by Health Direct Ltd of the intellectual property rights and premises of Ideal Pharmacy, Central Pharmacy and Nigret Pharmacy.

Health Direct Ltd owns St Jude Pharmacy in Birkirkara. All parties involved in the concentration are active in the management and operation of retail community pharmacies in Malta.

The Director General of the Office for Competition invites interested third parties to submit their written objections on this notified concentration within seven days following publication of this notice at the following address:
